This post on Instagram by Matt Farrah @thesmokingtire pretty much explains how I feel about the car scene and car meets in general in the SoCal area! Lots of exotic cars and owners with lack of creativity and originality, no passion, no drive and no real connection to the cars! Even the hyper cars are not that exciting anymore, after seeing them for million times, they are all repeating at different car events!

It’s why I quit going to them. It’s exciting the first few times. It’s why I still go to Malibu Autobahn. At least they draw more than just stock Ferrari, Lamborghini, Porsche, McLaren.... Even seeing a Senna, P1, Enzo, CGT, Centenario, or whatever “rare” car becomes muted when you see them every month.

@aeaphotos exactly 💯 for me it’s more about going out and catching up with friends! I don’t care what kind of cars will be there!

ARCS

That’s why I’d rather go to an event like Exotics on Broadway; see some cars ie never seen before as well as seeing people connect to the cars. I know non-car people don’t understand it, but these cars are works of art and can have the same effect as other powerful words of art

@ARCS absolutely, going there is totally worth it and a great experience! Although every years is pretty much the same people, just plus few new cars!

@ARCS @aeaphotos if you all get a chance to come to Virginia or Maryland. The great falls village has a cars and coffee every weekend with literally every kind of car all in one spot, everyone has a passion for their car and have a connection. You can learn a whole lot from them and meet someone new. Last thing is you do t k is what your goin to see because if you go maybe once a month or so something new is going to be there. Like a freakin Indi car
