My second build
Previous owner picked up the ‘bird many years ago, drove for a bit, pulled apart to restore, and never got around to it
I came across his listing for dirt cheap as he was leaving California for Texas soon and didn’t have the ability to take the car along with a handsome gathering of parts and tools with him
Original Pontiac engine and transmission were long gone, but with the car I got an aggressively cam-ed Chevy 350 out of a ‘72 Camaro Z/28 mated to a TH350
Original interior was included and reinstalled
The body was in rough shape due to being an east coast car for a large portion of its life (discovered Pennsylvania inspection stickers during the process of rebuilding the car)
Sold the car after a few months after I got it running/driving/steering/stopping for a couple bucks along with some of the extra parts including a compete disassembled 454 big block to use in combination with the cash I got from selling the ‘69 on my page in order to get my next classic in which I was looking for a solid body and a “good bones” drivetrain to really do a quality restoration on
This car introduced me to what vintage Pontiacs were like and led me to purchase classic #3 (another ‘67 Firebird) which I still own today
